Winds of change

Hello again fellow denizens of the interwebz,

Ok I have written this once before so I will try and stay true to what I originally wrote but time changes perceptions and ideals so it may slightly differ yet the essence will always remain the same. The two norwegians that Aaqib keep referring to are both very intelligent and one has a way of expressing herself through her blog that does surprise me to be honest. This entry is sort of in answer to part of her latest update.

I look at how people impact upon me the same as I look upon the ocean. I know that makes no sense so let me explain.......

We are all adrift on the ocean of life, we gently and serenly float our way towards a horizon full of promise unsure as to what adventure lays ahead. Along the way we encounter other kindred souls floating along on their own destinies. As we pass by these people we are then opened to a few outcomes depending upon how they touch our existance.

Some cross our paths with only the slightest ripple, causing us to gently rock as they pass with nothing more then a gentle breeze upon our face. We may not ever know them as friends but we are better people for having met them.

Others bump into us they make us stop and at times they change our course begging us to take a different route. Will we stay faithful to who we are ? Or is this what we have always wanted what we have always needed to make us complete to soothe our inner soul. Is this the reason we are adrift ? To find a companion to accompany us on the great voyage we call life ?

Occasionally on the journey we see others in the distance and they are noticable as we at once know that they will disrupt us, cause us to flounder, ask us to question our beliefs, the things that make us who we are. To me they are noticable by the rain and storms on the horizon, the sea angry and it's rage is evident by the way the water froths and boils, the waves reaching for us wanting to drag us down, embroil us with it's hate. Some of us are drawn to these people whether it is to try and save them to in turn save themselves, others will steer a course away from them, always mindful of their presence.

So my friends if you are one whol will gently rock me along this journey of life, if you are one who will help protect me from the storms or even one who will offer me assistance if I appear lost, then I welcome your gentle rocking I welcome the sun youbring to my journey. If nothing else I wish you good sailing and may the waters of your life always be calm and may the horizon always be a place of wonder and excitement.

Till next time,

Lance

  1. Dude this is way too difficult for me to understand.
    So much of epic poetry!!

After all, I am a high school dropout.
Maybe I will give it another try after my regular dose of acid.
