Counter Strike

Hello again fellow denizens of the interwebz,

My confused Bangladeshian friend has tried to tell me his political system is worse then mine. In fact he has made a post in the last 2 days trying to explain his countries political system. After reading his, it honestly sounds as though he just needs, to put it bluntly...... to walk into his shed at the back of his house eat a teaspoon of cement powder and harden the fuck up. We have worst systems then he tried to explain in our local primary school students council.

Due to his years or to be honest lack of years, I honestly don't think he has a clue just what a bad political party actually is. His idea of a bad party is one that probably extended school hours or some rubbish. Seriously he lives in a swamp, he rarely gets mail due to the crocodiles eating the postman all the time and they don't have tv over there yet from what I understand. So I will assume he is talking about the local witch doctor or maybe even the tribal elders and shall in fact disregard his entire post as nothing more then the rantings of someone who has never in fact experienced what bad actually is.

To be honest he has tried to draw a veil of stupidity over your eyes with the following comments in his blog, and this is exactly as it is written...
Now the old person in this blog is going to talk about Aussie politics. Now, I know that he’s been around the block, seen it all, fought in ‘Nam, WW2, War of the Roses, Boer War, Crusades and what not and lost a few nuts along the way.

Thing is, what the hell do Aussies have to complain about. They got it made, for goodness sake.

They get unemployment benefits, they got old peoples homes and hell, they even get money for having children (admittedly they usually spend that money getting wide screen TVs).

Chalk all negatives Lance comes up with to senior citizen cranky-ness.
Well Aaqib my young dillusional friend, It is easy to gloss over the good points but it takes more strength and more integrity to point out the bad in an honest, concise rational way.

I could sit here for hours and ramble about the shortcomings of our whole political structure that some continue to try and tell us is purely democratic. We have only one vote and one say in our countries politics and that is when we decide which idiot is the lesser threat to our own welfare and then we cross our fingers, our eyebrows and other various body parts and vote the idiot in. But to be honest even that is rigged...... most parties candidates know they have no choice and make backroom backdoor deals involving lines of a questionable white powder to GIVE their votes to another party in exchange for a reach around some time into their term. So we vote for idiot 1 who in turn gives those votes to idiot 2 in exchange for anything he can get and then our input into what happens is over.

During the election stage much kissing of babies and shaking of hands is carried out, we are promised the world and in the end asked for taxes to live on the damn thing. We then move into the voting day stage, by now we have been assaulted via tv, newspapers, magazines and radios until we pretty much have no idea who stands for who and what the hell they are saying.

Once voting is over we all stand around with our pants around our ankles not knowing by who, but sure we just got screwed without even a thank you.

I will write more later but for now I feel totally dejected about our current political system and need to go kick a few dogs so I feel better...

Till next time,
Lance
